Terms & Conditions


Welcome to Made In Basketry Summer School 2024 Open Call! 
Before you apply, please carefully read and understand the following terms and conditions:

1. Application Process

- Participation in the Made In Basketry Summer School requires submission of a completed questionnaire, a CV and a Portfolio.
- Applications will be evaluated based on the information provided in the questionnaire, CV and Portfolio.
- The organizers reserve the right to accept or reject applications at their discretion.


2. Fees and Expenses

- The organizers will cover the costs of training, accommodation, and food during the duration of the summer school.
- Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the summer school location, as well as any additional personal expenses.


3. Program Duration

- The Made In Basketry Summer School will run for the specified duration as communicated by the organizers.
- Participants are expected to attend all sessions and activities scheduled during the program.


4. Participant Conduct

- Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the program.


5. Health and Safety

- Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the summer school.
- Participants must comply with all health and safety guidelines and protocols provided by the organizers.
- The organizers are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur during the summer school.


6. Intellectual Property


- All materials provided during the summer school, including but not limited to lectures, presentations, and handouts, are protected by intellectual property laws.
- Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials provided without the express permission of the organizers.


7. Cancellation and Refunds

- Once accepted into the Made In Basketry Summer School, participants are expected to attend all sessions and activities scheduled during the program.
- In the event of unavoidable circumstances preventing attendance, participants must notify the organizers as soon as possible.
- The organizers reserve the right to cancel the summer school due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- In the event of cancellation by the organizers, participants will not be liable for any fees and any fees already paid will be refunded.


8. Code of Conduct

- Participants must adhere to the code of conduct established by the organizers, which prohibits discrimination, harassment, bullying, or any other form of misconduct.
- Violation of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the program without refund.


9. Governing Law

- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal.
- Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal
